Colorado State Patrol Officer Jason Shimp has worked in Durango, Colorado, for the previous ten years. During the last decade, Jason Shimp has worked with the Colorado State Patrol in the Denver area. With the Colorado State Patrol, he was promoted to corporal in 2016.
He has implemented the PILLAR program at a number of Northwest Colorado schools, as well. Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, awarded Jason a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture prior to his police enforcement career. Jason worked as an architect for 13 years and was engaged in 27 construction projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings. An architect certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), Jason earned his LEED AP certification in 2008 after completing the NCARB's exam. As of January 2011, Jason Shimp has been employed with the Colorado State Patrol (CDPs). McBride Kelley Baurer was where he worked before.
